Adventure Racing returns to the Hillsborough County Wilderness Parks with Squiggy's Revenge 12-Hour Adventure Race!

With over 16,000 acres of park to explore, expect a course that will challenge your paddling, trail running/trekking, biking and navigation skills--with the added challenge of STARTING AT MIDNIGHT! That's right, the 12-hour race starts Saturday at midnight! Throw in a few extra team challenges and you have the makings of an amazing adventure.

Parking:
  • Parking is limited, so please carpool if possible
  • Parking will be under the power lines to the south of the canoe launch parking (Trout Creek Park)
  • There is a $2 per car parking fee - - please bring the appropriate cash

  • Long pants for any bushwhack sections

Gear Note:
Race directors may require other team and/or individual mandatory gear for safety reasons (or for other crazy reasons). Please watch our Facebook page and pre-race emails for any updates.

Navigation:
This event will require you to be familiar with navigation using a topographic map and compass. We may also use aerial photographs for some special sections of the course. You should be familiar with terrain recognition, reconciling maps, route finding, estimating distances and night navigation techniques. If you have never raced at night, we recommend that you practice at least once prior to this event. For comprehensive navigation training, click here for a schedule of upcoming clinics.
